The Acting Head
The Acting Head is a satirical murder mystery set in a red brick university at the outset of the 21st century. A parcel is delivered to the School of European Cultures. It is found to contain a skull. It is addressed to the Acting Head. No one knows who this is. Is it Ellen Elderberry, the aged bluestocking? Is it Trevor Firske, the expert on ferry timetables and wine vintages? Or is it Cynthia Storrop who hates students and whose computer password is ‘litclit’? The police are called in and a murder enquiry begins…..
